First things first, let’s talk history. Buffalo Trace has been around since the 18th century, starting out as the Old Fire Copper (O.F.C.) Distillery before being purchased by the Blanton family in 1952. And let me tell you, this bourbon has only gotten better with time.

When it comes to the ingredients that go into Buffalo Trace, only the best will do. The corn, rye, and barley used to make this bourbon are of the highest quality. And the water used to bring it all together is sourced from the Kentucky River, known for its limestone filtration, giving the bourbon a unique and delicious taste.

Buffalo Trace is also famous for its aging process. The barrels used to age this bourbon are made from oak that’s been seasoned for at least six months, and the bourbon is aged for a minimum of eight years. And during that time, the barrels are stored in warehouses with temperature fluctuations that help to create a complex and layered flavor.

Now, let’s talk awards. Buffalo Trace has won more awards than any other bourbon in history, including the prestigious “Distillery of the Year” award from the New York International Spirits Competition. And when you take a sip, it’s easy to see why.

Finally, did you know that Buffalo Trace has a special place in American history? During the Civil War, it was one of only four distilleries in Kentucky allowed to continue operating, thanks to a special order from President Lincoln himself. And during Prohibition, it was one of only a handful of distilleries that managed to keep going, thanks to the production of medicinal whiskey. So when you drink Buffalo Trace, you’re not just enjoying a delicious bourbon – you’re also sipping on a piece of American history.

So there you have it, friends – five fun facts about Buffalo Trace that’ll make you appreciate it even more.
