My Story
From Healthcare to Canvas
I never planned to become a golf course artist. After graduate school, I built a career as a Physician Assistant, but painting was always there in the background something I did for myself, a creative outlet that balanced the structure of healthcare.
Everything changed when I met my husband, a professional golfer from Scotland. Suddenly I was introduced to this whole world I'd never really paid attention to before. Golf courses aren't just places to play they're these incredible landscapes with dramatic light, rolling terrain, and centuries of history. I started painting courses as gifts for friends, and before I knew it, people were asking for commissions. That's when I realized I could actually do this full-time.
Making the leap from healthcare to art was terrifying and exciting. But it opened doors I never imagined. I became licensed with St Andrews Links, Pebble Beach, Royal Dornoch courses I'd only dreamed about visiting, let alone painting. I've done live painting at the Buffalo Trace distillery, created tournament posters for professional golf events, and been featured in Golf Digest. It's been quite a journey.

My Approach
How I Work
I paint in oils on large canvases the kind you feel like you could walk right into. Light is everything to me. The way it plays across fairways at sunrise, how it catches the rough on a windy afternoon, that golden hour glow over a links course. That's what I'm always chasing.
Whenever possible, I shoot my own reference photos. I'm FAA drone certified, which lets me capture those sweeping aerial views that really show the architecture of a course. But honestly, nothing beats being there in person. The smell of the grass, the sound of the wind, the feel of the place you can't get that from a photo. That's why I love plein air painting on location when I can.
I work out of my studio near Nashville, Tennessee, where I grew up. I'm constantly exploring the intersection of art and golf, and when I'm not painting, you'll usually find me on some kind of adventure with my husband and our two daughters.
