"It's the most fun I've ever had on a golf course."
- Tom Watson on Royal Dornoch

About This Piece

If you've ever played Royal Dornoch when the gorse is in bloom, you'll understand why so many golfers call this course their version of heaven.

This painting captures one of Royal Dornoch's most magical mornings, the first light of day spreading across the 7th through 10th holes, viewed from the rare angle of the North Sea side. The gorse in bloom, the dunes catching gold, the firth beyond. It's the moment golfers who have made the pilgrimage to the Highlands remember long after they've left.

Created by officially licensed artist Aimee Smith from her original 36" × 48" oil painting (now in private collection). Each print is hand-signed by the artist in her studio near Nashville, Tennessee, and features the official Royal Dornoch Golf Club crest in the white border.

The 18" × 24" and 30" × 40" sizes are limited to editions of 50. Once these editions sell out, no more will be produced.

PAPER PRINTS: Carefully unroll the print with clean hands and let “rest” and flatten 24 hours before placing behind frame with glass or acrylic protective sheet.  Avoid moisture and direct sunlight.

CANVAS PRINTS (with or without embellishments): These prints are meant to be stretched on stretcher bars.  Each canvas print has a mirrored edge to cover sides of stretcher bars.  Take to professional framer for best results, or email Aimee for DIY recommendations.

Canvas prints have a UV protective varnish.  Avoid moisture or direct sunlight.

Each print is made to order from the print shop by Aimee herself, so please allow 10 business days for us to create your print with care.  Some prints, such as canvas, require a spray varnish and/or embellishments, and so the processing time depends on the type of print. If you have a deadline (birthday or golf outing gift) email Aimee for expedited estimates.

Domestic: please allow 2-10 business days for shipping

International: please allow 10-25 days for shipping. VAT and appropriate port fees/extra shipping fees will be collected at time of delivery.

FAQs

Absolutely!  If you don't see your country listed, please email me at hello@aimeesmithstudios.  Please note, collectors are responsible for applicable shipping, taxes, VAT and duties.

This depends.

If you ordered an original painting, it could ship within a few days to a week or two.  (I want to make sure they are packaged securely so you get your painting in perfect condition!).

Prints are made to order, and can take anywhere from 1-2 weeks (sometimes up to 3 weeks during the print shop's busy season).  Once they are shipped, please allow arpimd one week for US orders and around three weeks for delivery for international orders, as sometimes they can get held up in customs.

Holiday seasons can also add extending shipping time.

As much as we try to get your artwork to you in perfect condition, sometimes things get bent and bruised along the shipping journey.  If you receive anything less than perfect, let me know within 48 hours of its arrival, and we'll work on getting your replacement to you.

I want you to be 110% satisfied with your order.  If for any reason, you aren't happy with your print, please contact me within 48 hours of delivery at hello@aimeesmithstudios.com.

Commissions go through a series of proofs from concept to final images of the painting, and are non refundable.  We'll work together to make sure you're happy with it from beginning to end.

I love creating custom pieces for collectors. Due to exciting projects in the line up, I only accept a few commissions a year. To get on the list, email me at hello@aimeesmithstudios.com
