Officially Licensed E.H. Taylor Bourbon Art

"If there's ever a whiskey that encapsulates history and one man's determination and high expectations, it's E.H. Taylor."

Antique spectacles. A sipping glass set just right. A cigar resting on the edge. The painting captures the quiet moment after a long day, in the kind of room where the man himself might still walk in.

About This Piece

Colonel Edmund Haynes Taylor Jr. is widely regarded as the Father of the Modern Bourbon Industry. He modernized the distillery that would become Buffalo Trace, and his lobbying for the Bottled-in-Bond Act of 1897 made him one of the earliest figures in American consumer protection law. Every E.H. Taylor release on the shelf today still carries the Bottled-in-Bond designation he fought for.

This still life pays homage to the legend. The third painting in the Speakeasy Collection by officially licensed artist Aimee Smith, it reproduces an original 30" × 40" oil painting from her studio near Nashville, Tennessee. Each print is hand-signed by the artist.

For the bourbon lover who appreciates the history behind the bottle.

PAPER PRINTS: Carefully unroll the print with clean hands and let “rest” and flatten 24 hours before placing behind frame with glass or acrylic protective sheet.  Avoid moisture and direct sunlight.

CANVAS PRINTS (with or without embellishments): These prints are meant to be stretched on stretcher bars.  Each canvas print has a mirrored edge to cover sides of stretcher bars.  Take to professional framer for best results, or email Aimee for DIY recommendations.

Canvas prints have a UV protective varnish.  Avoid moisture or direct sunlight.

Each print is made to order from the print shop by Aimee herself, so please allow 10 business days for us to create your print with care.  Some prints, such as canvas, require a spray varnish and/or embellishments, and so the processing time depends on the type of print. If you have a deadline (birthday or golf outing gift) email Aimee for expedited estimates.

Domestic: please allow 2-10 business days for shipping

International: please allow 10-25 days for shipping. VAT and appropriate port fees/extra shipping fees will be collected at time of delivery.

FAQs

Absolutely!  If you don't see your country listed, please email me at hello@aimeesmithstudios.  Please note, collectors are responsible for applicable shipping, taxes, VAT and duties.

This depends.

If you ordered an original painting, it could ship within a few days to a week or two.  (I want to make sure they are packaged securely so you get your painting in perfect condition!).

Prints are made to order, and can take anywhere from 1-2 weeks (sometimes up to 3 weeks during the print shop's busy season).  Once they are shipped, please allow arpimd one week for US orders and around three weeks for delivery for international orders, as sometimes they can get held up in customs.

Holiday seasons can also add extending shipping time.

As much as we try to get your artwork to you in perfect condition, sometimes things get bent and bruised along the shipping journey.  If you receive anything less than perfect, let me know within 48 hours of its arrival, and we'll work on getting your replacement to you.

I want you to be 110% satisfied with your order.  If for any reason, you aren't happy with your print, please contact me within 48 hours of delivery at hello@aimeesmithstudios.com.

Commissions go through a series of proofs from concept to final images of the painting, and are non refundable.  We'll work together to make sure you're happy with it from beginning to end.

I love creating custom pieces for collectors. Due to exciting projects in the line up, I only accept a few commissions a year. To get on the list, email me at hello@aimeesmithstudios.com
