Live Wedding Painting: Makensie and Eli (18 x 24 inch)

There are weddings, and then there. ARE. WEDDINGS.

Makensie and Eli were both glowing and their wedding was breathtaking. On August 5, 2022, the two exchanged vows at Grace Valley Farms in Shelbyville, Tennessee. And then they danced their first and last dance of the special day under an incandescent chandelier with atmospheric string lights in a beautifully designed and decorated event barn.

I was honored to capture their first dance in a live wedding painting. Arriving a few hours before the ceremony, I set the foundation for the canvas.

I was so excited to include the barn’s gorgeous chandelier and hanging lights, while keeping the focus on the dancing bride and groom. After their first dance, I painted the couple in and added additional layers. Most of the painting was completed on site, but I took it back to the studio for final touches and highlights.

From the chandelier lights to a barn in one of my favorite towns, this wedding was perfect. I hope the newlywed couple love their live wedding painting for years to come!
