Officially Licensed Pebble Beach Golf Links Art

"The greatest second shot in golf."
-Jack Nicklaus, on the 8th at Pebble Beach

About This Piece

A medium-length par-4 that turns merciless at the approach. After a blind tee shot to the top of the cliffs, the second shot is one of the most photographed in golf, a forced carry over a deep chasm of the Pacific Ocean to a green perched on the headland.

Mishit it short, and the ball is gone forever.

This painting captures the 8th at the moment that defines the hole, looking across the chasm at the green, with the ocean churning below and the Monterey coastline stretching into the distance.

Created by officially licensed artist Aimee Smith from her original 8" × 10" oil-on-board painting, each print is hand-signed and numbered in her studio near Nashville, Tennessee.

Pair with "No. 6 at Pebble Beach", the par-5 that opens the ocean stretch, and "No. 7 at Pebble Beach", the legendary par-3 that follows. For the finishing stretch, see "No. 17 & 18 at Pebble Beach". For the same hole region in a different medium, the "No. 7 Pen and Ink" sketch print pairs naturally as a smaller companion piece.

CANVAS PRINTS (with or without embellishments): These prints are meant to be stretched on stretcher bars.  Each canvas print has a mirrored edge to cover sides of stretcher bars.  Take to professional framer for best results, or email Aimee for DIY recommendations.

Canvas prints have a UV protective varnish.  Avoid moisture or direct sunlight.

Each print is made to order from the print shop by Aimee herself, so please allow 10 business days for us to create your print with care.  Some prints, such as canvas, require a spray varnish and/or embellishments, and so the processing time depends on the type of print. If you have a deadline (birthday or golf outing gift) email Aimee for expedited estimates.

FAQs

Absolutely!  If you don't see your country listed, please email me at hello@aimeesmithstudios.  Please note, collectors are responsible for applicable shipping, taxes, VAT and duties.

This depends.

If you ordered an original painting, it could ship within a few days to a week or two.  (I want to make sure they are packaged securely so you get your painting in perfect condition!).

Prints are made to order, and can take anywhere from 1-2 weeks (sometimes up to 3 weeks during the print shop's busy season).  Once they are shipped, please allow arpimd one week for US orders and around three weeks for delivery for international orders, as sometimes they can get held up in customs.

Holiday seasons can also add extending shipping time.

As much as we try to get your artwork to you in perfect condition, sometimes things get bent and bruised along the shipping journey.  If you receive anything less than perfect, let me know within 48 hours of its arrival, and we'll work on getting your replacement to you.

I want you to be 110% satisfied with your order.  If for any reason, you aren't happy with your print, please contact me within 48 hours of delivery at hello@aimeesmithstudios.com.

Commissions go through a series of proofs from concept to final images of the painting, and are non refundable.  We'll work together to make sure you're happy with it from beginning to end.

I love creating custom pieces for collectors. Due to exciting projects in the line up, I only accept a few commissions a year. To get on the list, email me at hello@aimeesmithstudios.com
