Makensie and Eli: 18 x 24 inch Live Wedding Painting

There are weddings, and then there. ARE. WEDDINGS.

Makensie and Eli were both glowing and their wedding was breathtaking. On August 5, 2022, the two exchanged vows at Grace Valley Farms in Shelbyville, Tennessee. And then they danced their first and last dance of the special day under an incandescent chandelier with atmospheric string lights in a beautifully designed and decorated event barn.

I was honored to capture the first dance in their live wedding painting. I arrived a few hours before the ceremony to set the canvas foundation.

I was so excited to include the barn’s gorgeous chandelier and hanging lights, while keeping the focus on the dancing bride and groom. Once the first dance was over, the couple was painted in, and then other layers were applied. While most of the painting was finished on site, the painting was brought back to the studio for the final touches and highlights.

From the chandelier lights to a barn in one of my favorite towns, this wedding was perfect. I hope the newlywed couple love their live wedding painting for years to come!
